Hafez Gallery was founded in 2014 by the Cultural Producer and philanthropist Qaswra Hafez. Headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the gallery’s ethos embodies the heritage of this ancient trading city existing as an important crossroads between East and West. By connecting diverse civilizations and cultures through the power of art, a key part of the gallery’s mission is to promote the Arab Art World globally. Since its inception, the Gallery has successfully participated in regional and international art fairs. As a catalyst for launching the careers of many pioneering MENA based artists, investor in cultural and educational programs to enrich the art scene in the Kingdom, and facilitator to local emerging talent within Saudi Arabia's dynamic artistic community, the team at Hafez Gallery actively embrace the needs of our growing roster of artists, dedicated supporters, partners, and diverse global client-base. We represent a number of award winning artists including Ibrahim El Dessouki and Rashed Al Shashai, who have been successfully presented forward through our solo and group exhibitions. We showcase a diverse and vibrant selection of traditional and contemporary artworks. Covering multiple disciplines, our program presents a variety of thought provoking and reflective narratives addressing themes of personal and cultural identity, spirituality, expressionism and existentialism. The evolving role of art in contemporary Saudi Arabian society has led Hafez Gallery to develop a number of innovative opportunities to cultivate new audiences for contemporary art within the Kingdom and further afield. With the opening of the new Hafez Gallery in Riyadh in early 2024, coupled with our innovative exhibition schedule showing at international locations; an exciting program of new ventures, explorations, collaborations and novel experiences is planned to celebrate moving forward into our second decade of existence.
