Hafez Gallery

Founded in 2014 by cultural producer and philanthropist Qaswra Hafez, Hafez Gallery is headquartered in Jeddah—an ancient trading city that has long served as a crossroads between East and West. Embracing this heritage, the Gallery’s founding ethos centers on connecting diverse civilizations through the power of art, with a primary mission to promote the Arab art world globally.

As part of its commitment to achieve this international reach, the Gallery has maintained an active presence at major regional and global art fairs since its inception. Over the years, it has become a catalyst for pioneering MENA-based artists, launching careers and bringing their voices to the global stage.
At the same time, the Gallery remains deeply committed to enriching the local cultural landscape, actively nurturing emerging talent within Saudi Arabia's dynamic artistic community.

Fuelled by this dual focus on global dialogue and local development, the Gallery represents a distinguished roster of award-winning artists. Through a thought-provoking program of solo and group exhibitions, it showcases a diverse range of modern and contemporary art that explore themes of identity, spirituality, expressionism, and existentialism.

As art continues to take on an evolving role in modern Saudi society, Hafez Gallery actively develops innovative ways to cultivate new audiences both at home and abroad. Marking its second decade, the Gallery expanded this vision with a new space in Jeddah (Al-Balad) alongside a number of international collaborations—setting the stage for a compelling new era of beautiful creations, ventures, and cultural exploration.

Founder
Qaswra Hafez

Qaswra Hafez is a Saudi cultural entrepreneur and patron of the arts who has spent more than three decades shaping creative expression across Saudi Arabia and the Arab region. Operating across a diverse spectrum of creative industries, he has consistently championed the belief that culture is a living ecosystem—something to be actively produced, experienced, and shared.

His career spans over 30 years of interdisciplinary leadership in the arts, publishing, visual arts, art collecting, retail management, and business leadership. His professional journey began at the Middle East’s largest publishing house, the Saudi Research and Publishing Company, before expanding into retail management with Al-Sawani Group. Alongside his corporate leadership, he developed his own artistic practice and cultivated a deep passion for art collecting, eventually building a highly distinctive collection of regional and international artworks.

Driven by a vision to connect local creativity with global audiences, he established Hafez Gallery as a vital platform for the region's contemporary art scene. There, he continues to curate groundbreaking exhibitions, elevate emerging and established talent, and actively support the artists, makers, and cultural practitioners who contribute to defining the Middle East's evolving artistic landscape.
