About the Artists
Born in 1983 in Sweida, Syria, Houssam Ballan is a figurative painter known for his refined technical skills and extensive academic background.
After receiving his BA in Fine Arts from the University of Damascus in 2005, Ballan trained in mural painting between 2003 and 2007 and has participated in workshops with international artists including Spanish artist José Freixanes and French artist Pierre Pala.
His work has been exhibited at Ayyam Gallery, Mark Hachem Gallery, Saleh Barakat Gallery, and the French Cultural Center in Damascus, and is held in numerous public and private collections worldwide.His works can be found in numerous public and private collections.
